I'm excited to have Samantha represent Utah Tech University at this year’s Copper Rock Championship. This is such an exciting opportunity for Samantha and our program. Sami had a fantastic fall season and has been a major part of our team’s success. She is a rising star and I'm glad she'll have this chance to play with the best.

A sophomore at Utah Tech University, majoring in Finance with a minor in Sports Communication, Samantha Phelan has been passionate about golf since the age of five. She began competing in tournaments at eight, playing in multiple junior tours, including AJGA, where she developed her competitive edge. In high school, she was a standout player at Liberty High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, earning First Team honors and the title of Most Valuable Player. Now a member of the Utah Tech Women’s Golf Team, she continues to refine her skills while competing at the collegiate level. During the summer months, she stays tournament-ready by playing in amateur golf events, further strengthening her game.
