SUU's Siriporn "Orchid" Luangnam awarded Exemption for 2025 Epson Copper Rock Championship.

Siriporn “Orchid” Luangnam had dreams of attending Southern Utah University since she was 14 years old, and that dream became a reality this last fall of 2024. A freshman from Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, Orchid was discovered by SUU Director of Golf, Coach Richard Church, at a camp in Thailand, where her talent and dedication stood out.

A fierce competitor with an incredible work ethic, Orchid is always striving to improve. Her ultimate goal is to become a professional golfer, and when the opportunity arose to earn an exemption into the Copper Rock Championship, she was vocal about her commitment to working for it. Now, as she prepares to compete against top-tier professional and amateur players, she is ready to embrace the challenge and represent Southern Utah University on this incredible stage.

With her determination and passion for the game, Orchid is set to make an impact on the Thunderbirds and take one step closer to achieving her dreams. She is a great example of what we want to build here. She is a player who is dedicated, competitive, and willing to put in the work. I truly believe she represents the future of this program, and I am so excited for her to have this experience.
